Former Czechoslovak dissident, one of the signatories of Charta '77. After the Revolution of 1989 has occupied a number of prominent posts including that of the Member of the first Federal Parliament, Cabinet Minister, Rector of Comenius University and Chief of Staff of the President of Czechoslovakia Vaclav Havel as his Chancellor for Slovakia. Founder of the Department of Political Science of Comenius University (1990).

Former Undersecretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Director of the East Center of Polish Open University and deputy of the board of foundation „ Aid for Poles in the East”. Author of many publications about Polish eastern politics.

Graduated from Latin and Greek philology at the Poznań University. Journalist and publicist. 1979-1989 involved in PZPR-Polish United Workers Party, its Main Secretary in 1989. Until 1991 member of the Polish Parliament. Since 1983 journalist in Wprost weekly, in 1985 - vice editor-in-chief and since 1989 it’s editor-in-chief. In 1991 decided to leave politics behind and concentrated fully on the Wprost weekly. Turned it into one of the biggest and the strongest opinion magazine on the Polish market and continues to work on constant improvements.

Andrzej Kapiszewski

Professor of sociology and political science at the Jagiellonian University, lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy at Warsaw. Former visiting professor at Stanford University and many other foreign universities. Between 1991-1997 in diplomatic service - the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in the Persian Gulf countries. Author of numerous academic books and articles. Expert in ethnic and national issues, especially in East-West relations and Middle East affairs. He died  in Krakow in 2007.
