Graduated in agricultural sciences from the University of Gardening and international economic relations from the University of Economics in Budapest. Between 1978 and 1990 worked for one of the biggest Hungarian foreign trade companies, for the last 6 years as Head of the company’s office in Warsaw. In 1990-1994 one of the top foreign trade managers of a leading industrial company in Hungary. From 1994 to 2002 and since 2004 commercial counsellor at the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw.

Vice-Director, subsequently Director of Department of Europe-West (1995-1997). Minister Plenipotentiary at the Representation of the Polish Embassy in Berlin (1997-1999). Director of the Secretariat of the Minister (1999-2001).

At the dawn of the Iraqi crisis started to work as Secretary to the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic.
