An assistant professor at the Institute of Media and Audio Visual Arts at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her research interests and publications focus on gender in film and media as well as on much wider category of identity in terms of national, cultural and artistic dimensions of European cinema after 1989. Her academic activities combine studies on film theories and film analysis in terms of gender and identity. Additionally to film and media studies, she coordinates the programme of Postgraduate Gender Studies in Krakow.

Student of philology and philosophy at the universities in Cracow, Berlin and Freiburg (Germany). Researcher at the Jagiellonian University and the University in Tubingen, 1985 – 1989. Scholarship fellow of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and the DAAD program. PhD at the University in Tübingen (Germany), 1994. Between 1993 - 1999 Counselor at the Polish Embassy in Bonn (Germany). Since September 1999 Director of the Corporate Representative Office DaimlerChrysler AG in Poland and Head of the Communication at DaimlerChrysler Automotive Polska.

Philosopher and ethicist; professor at the Cracow University of Economics, Jagiellonian University, Tischner European University in Krakow and International Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein. He has spent some time at the Grand Valley State University and at the University of Vienna. He has lectured in Geneva, Freiburg, Tilburg, Vienna, Graz, Uppsala and Stockholm.

A freelance photographer, founder of the Machina Fotografika Foundation, she promotes people who work in photography, supports the creative development of women and performs educational activities in visual arts. A graduate of Cultural Studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań and Creative Photography in Opava (Czech Republic), with a diploma in Dita Pepe’s seminar. She exhibits both in Poland and abroad. She publishes in newspapers: Polityka weekly, Wysokie Obcasy magazine, Tygodnik Powszechny weekly, as well as in books.
