Born in Bucharest, he studied Art History at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, where he taught from 1980 to 1982. Between 1991 and 1997 he was Professor of Philosophy of Religion at the Department of Philosophy, University of Bucharest. After the fall of the communist regime he was appointed Minister of Culture (1989-1991) and Minister of Foreign Affairs (1997-1999).

Jakub Majmurek (1982) – film and art critic, political columnist and philosopher. Co-author of many book concerning movies (Story of Sin. Surrealism in Polish cinema) and social and political philosophy (L’idée du communisme II). He writes mainly for Dziennik Opinii, liberal on-line journal of opinion.

Graduated from the Department of Philosophy and History of the Charles University in Prague. Worked in the Czechoslovak and later the Czech Academy of Science and conducted research in history of science. He worked in Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moscow (1995-1999), , Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in Department of Central Europe (1999-2005) and Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kyiv (2005-2009). Currently executive director of the Visegrad Fund.

One of the most eminent law experts in Poland. Participated in the Round Table talks in 1989. The former President of Constitutional Tribunal in Poland. Author of many publications considering not only issues of criminal and constitutional law but also philosophy of law. Member of Polish Academy of Abilities and Academy of Sciences and Art in Salzburg. In June 2005 finished his cadence as the Civil Rights Ombudsman in Poland.
