Peter Kormúth

Deputy Head of the Mission of the Slovak Republic to Poland. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and the Institute of International Relations of the Comenius University (Law Faculty) in Bratislava. Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic in 1993, held different posts in Ministry (Director of the Department of OSCE, Council of Europe and Disarmament, Deputy Director of the Department of Human Rights) and abroad (Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Slovakia to Belgium and Luxembourg, Deputy to the Permanent Representative, Mission to the Council of Europe, Strasbourg.)

Gyorgy Németh

Commercial counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Warsaw. Graduated in agricultural sciences from the University of Gardening and international economic relations from the University of Economics in Budapest. Between 1978 and 1990 worked for one of the biggest Hungarian foreign trade companies, for the last 6 years as Head of the company’s office in Warsaw. In 1990-1994 one of the top foreign trade managers of a leading industrial company in Hungary. From 1994 to 2002 and since 2004 commercial counsellor at the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw.

Milan Nič

Politologist, historian. Former program manager at the Institute for Civic Diplomacy (ICD) of Pontis Foundation, an independent NGO based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Reporter of Radio Free Europe and SME (Slovakian daily). Organiser of humanitarian aid for Cuba and for Belarus. Since October 2007 work in the time of the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

Pavol Popjak

First Secretary at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Warsaw dealing with EU affairs. Previous diplomatic post in Paris and Brussels. Former Country Representative for the Slovak part of Carpathian Euroregion seated in Bardejov. Graduated from the Comenius University in social and economic geography, post-graduate studies on public administration at Academia Istropolitana in Bratislava.

Wojciech Przybylski

Wojciech Przybylski is the editor-in-chief of Visegrad Insight - a magazine on Central Europe and chairman of Res Publica Foundation in Warsaw. Previously editor-in-chief of Eurozine - magazine representing a network of European cultural journals with the office in Vienna. Founder of New Europe 100 project bringing forward a community of successful innovators from CEE across the fields of business, research media, NGO and publicADMINISTRATION- run jointly by Res Publica, Financial Times and Google. Wojciech is a political commentator, lecturer and social entrepreneur. His expertise includes European and transatlantic affairs as well as policies related to innovation and culture. Currently, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Poland. Graduated from the Moscow Institute for International Relations and Charles University in Prague. In 1993-1996 First Secretary in the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington, USA. From 1996-1999 held posts in the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Deputy Director in the Office of the State Secretary, Director of the Department of International Economic Cooperation, Deputy Director General, and Director of the First Territorial Department. In 1999-2003 Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Prague. In 2003-2005 Director of Department for Internal Affairs and Institutions of the EU. From October 2004 to March 2005 Director General in charge of the European Affairs Section in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  

Jan Sechter

Jan Sechter

Current Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Poland. Mr. Sechter graduated in 1992 from Faculty of Economics, at the University of Agriculture, Prague. Founder of „Lidové noviny” newspaper. In the nineties he worked in the Department for Culture and Czechs Abroad (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), in 2000 was a head of unit cross-sectional agenda, department of Central Europe Countries, MFA. In the years 2000/2001 – 2007 he was a member of many institutions: Board of Czech-German Future Fund, Directors Board of Fund for victims of Holocaust etc. In 2007-2008 was on duty in Executive Secretary of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research.

Barbara Sośnicka

After her Master of Arts degree at the Institute of Oriental Languages at the University of Warsaw, Mrs Sośnicka studied International Relations at The Polish Institute of International Affairs in Warsaw, then completed her studies at the Academy of International Law in The Hague, International Institute of Public Administration in Paris and University of Mons. Since 1987 she has worked at the Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Polish Embassies in Managua, Caracas, Brussels and Lima. Now she is Deputy Director of Europe at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. 

Attila Szalai

Attila Szalai

A journalist,literary translator and diplomat. After making his first trip to Poland by hitchhiking in 1968, he joined the Association of Polish-Hungarian Friendship, signing up in a course at the Centre of Polish Culture in Budapest, where he was a frequent visitor, and after two years of education he passed the state examination through the Polish language.In Poland, where he lived with his polish wife for 14 years (1976-1990) as both a writer and literary translator, he has worked mainly with titles such as Literatura na Świecie, Kontrasty and Słowo. In 1993 he joined the diplomatic service and several years worked as counsellor for culture and press of the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw. In 2001-2005 he was director of the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw. After returning to Budapest to work with the Department of Communications and Public Diplomacy of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry. For his services received the Knight's Cross of the Polish Republic (2005). Currently counsellor for cultural and press affairs of the Embassy of Hungary in Warsaw.
