Marcin Gerwin

Marcin Gerwin
Specializes in sustainable development. He holds a Phd in political studies, from the UNiversity of Gdnask, Poland. He is a co-founder of Sopocka Inicjatywa Rozwojowa - an informal group of citizens from Sopot, Poland, working for participatory democracy and sustainable development. He is the author of ''Food and Democracy'' (written in Polish) and the editor of the book about food sovereignty in English with the same title. 

Bożena Gierat-Bieroń

Graduated in Polish studies and history of drama at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków in 1993. 1996-2001 Ph.D. candidate at the Centre for European Studies. 2002 – Ph.D. in humanities.  An expert of IDRIE (Institute of Regional and European Community) in Kraków. Worked on the advisory board in the Cultural Department of the Kraków City Council. Main co-ordinator at the Centre for European Training. Lecturer at the postgraduate European studies and the School for Cultural Management. Also worked in an expert group preparing the strategy of regional development for the Małopolska Province. General Assembly of ENCANT (2000). Published in periodicals and daily press.    

Karoline Gil

Karoline Gil studied cultural sciences, focusing on Central and East Europe and has extensive experience in intercultural dialogue and international relations. She is deputy head of the Dialogues department and head of the Integration and Media section at the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations, Stuttgart. The institute is Germany's oldest intermediary organisation operating worldwide to promote peaceful artistic exchange and dialogue between civil societies through exhibitions, conferences and other forms of international cultural cooperation. It aims to promote art, learning and education to create better understanding amongst nations, and to provide information about foreign cultural policy.

Karoline is a published author and continues to publish regularly and create video content in the field of culture and history.

Karoline Gil

Deputy Head of Department/Head of Section at the IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) in Stuttgart, Germany. As a competence center for foreign cultural diplomacy, the IFA is connecting civil societies, cultural practices, art, media and science. She has a longstanding experience in intercultural dialogue and the creation of multinational networks with a profound interest for international relations. Since 2009, she has been an active member and regional coordinator of the Young German Council on Foreign Affairs. In current position, she is coordinating and supervising grant and support schemes in Central Eastern Europe and Russia. She has striven to complete her practical work by in-depth examination and academic exploration. That is why research and analysis are important parts of her professional track record. Studying European relations and socio-economic transformation, she co-edited books on the Treaty on good relations and neighborhood between Germany and Poland, on cross-border cooperation between both countries and on regional European Identities.

Paul Gillespie

Paul Gillespie

Dr Paul Gillespie is Foreign Policy Editor and a duty editor of The Irish Times. He works in the editor's office of the newspaper as an editorial writer and columnist on international affairs. He has special expertise and interest in European politics and political identities, British-Irish relations, transatlantic relations, Middle East affairs and East Asian affairs. He lectures at the School of Politics and International Relations, University College Dublin and is a member of the advisory council of the European Policy Centre, Brussels. He is the author of many articles and book chapters and edited Blair's Britain, England's Europe, Dublin: Institute of European, 2000. 

Danuta Glondys

She holds a PhD degree in the Humanities, MA in English Philology and in Political Studies. In the period 1993–1999, she was director of the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Krakow and following it, the Regional Director of the USAID programme in Poland. She is the European Commission expert in the European Capitals of Culture programme selecting and monitoring all ECOC since 2009. Director of the Villa Decius Association in 2001-2016, she is now the Plenipotentiary of the Board for International Affairs, responsible for its initiating and implementing programmes which advocate international cultural and intellectual cooperation and promotion of intercultural dialogue and human rights.Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University and the Humanistic Studies Department of the University of Technology in Krakow. Her research field covers relations between culture and politics and European integration. Author of numerous articles and publications. An avid traveler.

Olga Glondys

Olga Glondys

PhD in Modern Spanish Literature at the University Autónoma in Barcelona. Graduated in Spanish Philology from the Jagiellonian University (with distinction). Worked as translator. In 2004 translated Gułag - book of T. Kinzi, published by Galaxia Gutenberg. Participated in translation and edition of Literatura Hiper-textual yla Teoría Literaria, published in 2003 in Spain. Cooperates with literary newspaper Quimera. For this newspaper she made an interview with Czesław Miłosz (December 2004). In 2004 took part in seminar Literatura y ciudad organized by the University in Kiel, Germany. 

Jonathan Goodacre

Jonathan Goodacre, Senior Consultant, International Lead, The Audience Agency

Jonathan is responsible for the international work of The Audience Agency, which helps arts, cultural and heritage organisations to understand and engage with audiences, visitors, users and participants. He specialises in evaluation and audience development and is part of the team that evaluated Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture.

He works widely in Europe, being a contributor to the Adeste+ and Asset Creative Europe projects and the Museum Booster Doors Horizon project. This has included the development of the Audience Centred Experience Design (ACED) based on design thinking and organisational change methodologies. More globally, he was recently evaluator of the British Council Digital Collaboration initiative which took place in 40 countries and is a consultant on the Festivals from India programme.

He is a pedagogical team member of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management, a trainer on the European Capital of Culture Academy and author of International Agent.

Jonathan originally graduated in History and Sociology from the University of York (UK), then worked for two decades in a variety of cultural organisations ranging in scope from pop music to experimental performance art, before joining The Audience Agency in 2013.

Jonathan Goodacre

Jonathan is responsible for the international work of The Audience Agency, which helps cultural organisations to understand and engage with their audiences. He specialises in evaluation, audience development and project management, especially in multi stakeholder transnational programmes. He is part of the team that is evaluating Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture using a methodology adapted to the circumstances of the Covid-19 Pandemic. His other current international work includes evaluating the British Council Digital Arts Collaboration Fund that takes place in 40 countries and leading audience engagement training on the ECOC Academy Camp which is supporting European Capitals of Culture. Further international projects include leading on the EU funded Adeste+ and Asset projects for The Audience Agency which are developing innovative methods of research and training. He is a pedagogical team member of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management and author of International Agent, the e-newsletter about international audience development and research. Jonathan originally studied Sociology, then worked for two decades in a variety of cultural organisations ranging in scope from pop music to experimental performance art, before joining The Audience Agency in 2013.
