Iwona Jakuszko-Dudka is Head of the Unit for Central Europe, European Policy Department, MFA RP. She studied at Warsaw School of Economics (International Political and Economic Relations), at the Georg-August University Goettingen and at the University of Warsaw (National Security Faculty, Postgraduate studies - Centre for Europe). In 2003 she graduated National School of Public Administration (KSAP). She worked for Siemens Poland and Fujitsu Siemens Computers Poland. In 2003 she worked in Ministry of Infrastructure (Department for Infrastructure Financing and European Funds) and next some years in Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department for the European Union). Since 2008 till 2011 she was an employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Hungary (Second Secretary, European affairs). In years 2011-2017 she worked in Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Federal Republic of Germany (First Secretary, European affairs, economic issues: energy and climate policy, digital agenda).

Beata Klimkiewicz
Beata Klimkiewicz is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication, Jagiellonian University, Kraków. Her research interests include media pluralism and diversity; media policy in Europe; media reform in Central Europe; media system structures and regulatory models; media representations of minorities and minority media. She received her PhD from the Institute of Political Sciences of the Jagiellonian University in 2000. She has studied and held fellowships at the University of Oxford; Columbia University; the Robert Schuman Centre of the European University Institute; and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences. She has acted as an advisor to the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and has co-operated with the Open Society Institute in Budapest, the Media Diversity Institute in London and the Peace Institute in Ljubljana.
Martin Palouš
Was one of the first signatories of Charter 77, a document criticizing the Communist government of Czechoslovakia for not respecting human rights and later served as the group’s spokesman. He is also a founding member of CivicFORUM, a dissident movement that helped to overthrow the Communist government in Czechoslovakia. He was elected to the Federal Assembly where he joined the Foreign Affairs Committee and later became deputy minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2002, he was appointed Ambassador for the Czech Republic to the United States, and in 2006, became the ambassador of the Czech Republic to the United Nations. Currently Mr. Palouš is the Director of the Vaclav Havel Program for Human Rights and Diplomacy at the Florida International University. The Program studies and explores the politics of human rights, the processes of democratization in societies that were once under autocratic governments, and the experiences of societies currently in transition around the world. Mr. Palouš focuses on the process of negotiation of a new bilateral treaty between the European Union and Cuba, and campaigns and advocates human rights requiring the participation of representatives of independent Cuban civil society in all the stages of this process. As a Senior Fellow at School of International and Public Affairs at FIU, he teaches classes on democratization, human rights, Europe, and the European Union.

Umar Abdul- Nasser
Umar Abdul- Nasser was born in Mosul, Iraq in 1985. He is a poet, writer and stage performer, creating in Arabic and English. Umar work has already been presented in various countries around the World, during many festivals and events (Poland, UK, Iraq, Turkey, Sweden and Finland). His best works, like in example “Declaration No.0” and “A Message of Peace” can also be seen on his YouTube channel . Umar's work focus on the aspects of humanity and peace, strongly opposing cruelty of war and conflict. The artist is currently on his International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN) scholarship in Wrocław, Poland.
Samuel Abrahám
PhD, studied Political Science and Political Philosophy at the University of Toronto and the Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. At the latter one he obtained his doctorate. Since 1996 he is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Kritika & Kontext and during 1996-2006 he founded and directed the educational institution Society for Higher Learning based in Bratislava. During 1996-2001 he was a representative of the Foundation Project on Ethnic Relations (PER) in Slovakia, based in Princeton, U.S., specializing in inter-ethnic conflicts. He teaches political science at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Author of the book An Attempt to Analyze Slovak Society. Regularly publishes articles in Slovak and English magazines on the subjects of Slovak politics, the EU, as well as political theory. Member of the advisory board of Eurozine – an online magazine providing a network of European Cultural journals. Director of Bratislava Institute of Humanism, a nonprofit organization. Since June 2006 he is rector and lecturer of Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts (BISLA).

Graduate of Anthropology at the University in Toronto, studied Archeology at the Jagiellonian University. 1989–1995 worked in the Ontario Parliament in Toronto. 1995- 1996 British Petroleum President’s Assistant and since 1996 Public Relations Manager for British Petroleum Poland. Sari Al Hassanat
Sari Al Hassanat is a young poet and civil rights activist from Palestine. Directly affected by the unstable political situation in Gaza, he started writing and publishing poems and articles, tackling sensitive issues such as political corruption, human rights and terrorism. He merged his poetical talent with his civil rights activism, writing poems about peace for children, which have been published by Iraqi, Swedish Based Al Noor Centre for Culture and Media. He has also worked as a volunteer with the Peace and Friendship International Organization, the Al-Najada Charity for Palestinian Children, as well as the Youth Culture Forum Association (YCFA). Currently Al Hassanat is an ICORN resident in Gdańsk, Poland.
Jolanta Ambrosewicz-Jacobs
PhD in Human Sciences in 1991 (Jagiellonian University). Nowadays the head of the Research Centre for Holocaust Studies at the Centre for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Co-chair of the contact group "Education for Tolerance" of the Advisory Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief of the OSCE. Main areas of interest: education to enhance tolerance, intercultural education and methodology of teaching about the Holocaust.
