Marcin Gerwin

Marcin Gerwin
Specializes in sustainable development. He holds a Phd in political studies, from the UNiversity of Gdnask, Poland. He is a co-founder of Sopocka Inicjatywa Rozwojowa - an informal group of citizens from Sopot, Poland, working for participatory democracy and sustainable development. He is the author of ''Food and Democracy'' (written in Polish) and the editor of the book about food sovereignty in English with the same title.

Coordinator of the project: Polish Forum of Ecological Education: “Eko Media Forum 2003”. Member of international conferences about Sustainable Development.

Dariusz Szwed

Dariusz Szwed

One of the founders and presidents of the Polish Green Party (Zieloni 2004). Graduated in International Economic Relations from the Krakow University of Economics and in Economic Foundations of Environmental Policy from the Warsaw University, Poland. Began his cooperation with non-governmental organizations at the beginning of the 1990s as participant of the Green Federation; in 1996-1997 coordinator of an international campaign Menu for the Next Millenium as a result of which legal entries regarding genetically modified organisms (GMOs) were included in the Environmental Protection Act. In the years 1998-2004 he was Head of the Environmental Lobbying Support Office in the Polish Parliament; expert and adviser on the issues of environmental protection and sustainable development of numerous non-governmental organizations. 

Viktor Trebický

Project co-ordinator in Institute for Environmental Policy, Prague, Czech Republic. Chairman of the board of the Iris p.b.o (Czech NGO operating in the field of ecological education), co- founder of the Robinson (Czech NGO). Since 2001 Member of the National Steering Committe of the project "Supporting Local Agenda 21 Initiatives in the Czech Republic". Areas of interest: know-how of sustainable development (SD) and ecological aspects of sustainable development, as well as application of theoretical principles of SD in practice.
