The last day of the 14th Visegrad Summer School started with the presentation of International Visegrad Fund as a tool of regional cooperation.
During the interesting discussion the participants could ask about the possible grants, scholarships and residencies. The expert talked also about the history of International Visegrad Fund, it’s main aims and project categories. She also showed the main results of V4, the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership cooperation.
Presentation of students’ projects
After the last lecture the participants presented the results of lasting two weeks workshops. In the beginning Tomasz Padło showed the photographs of Krakow made during the urban space project. The participants were working not only in the city center but also in other parts of Krakow: Kazimierz, Podgórze or Nowa Huta. Next the students told about the political transformation in each of V4 country, about which they learned from Marcin Kędzierski. The presentation started with the Vaclav Havel statement – “we have an opportunity to transform Central Europe from what has been a mainly historical and spiritual phenomenon into a political phenomenon … we can offer the inspiration to consider swift and daring solutions”. The participants mentioned also about the economic aspects of transformation and gave some hints for other countries. The summery of students projects was the presentation of refugees problem about which participants debate during the free media workshops with Marcin Żyła.
In the afternoon Danuta Glondys, the director of the Villa Decius Association, thankedstudents for participation and presented the diplomas. The participants took the last group picture and went to the dinner in Kazimierz, where they could for the last time enjoy the Krakow nightlife.
