The International Youth Meeting is organized by the Governor of Małopolska together with the Jagiellonian University, the Pedagogical University of Cracow, Villa Decius Association, Polish Scouting and Guiding Association and the others regional partners.
Participants:
- Young people invited from 15 countries: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary and Italy.
- Students of history, political science, international relations, as well as others interested in World War I – max. 10 from each country.
Costs of participation:
- Organizers will cover participation costs and travel expenses.
Location:
- village Wapienne in the Gorlice district (),
- the surrounding villages
- Krakow and its surroundings
Duration:
August 1th – 10th, 2014
Main activity:
- Sightseeing: Krakow, Gorlice and Rother places,
- Visiting the military cemeteries from the time of World War I,
- Popular science and historical seminars and conferences,
- Exploring the heritage of national minorities,
- Cultural and artistic events,
- Shows performed by reconstruction groups,
- Meetings with historians,
- Recreation and leisure,
- Integrative and entertainment activities.
