Inauguration of The Visegrad Summer School

On Monday begins The Visegrad Summer School. It is already the seventhedition of the school organised by the Villa Decius Association. We planned alecture and a panel debate with the Ambassadors of the Visegrad Groupcountries, Mr Borys Tarasyuk and Mr Witold Sobków on the future of theEuropean Union for the inauguration. The ceremony will end with a concert ofthe Visegrad Cello Quartet.

 

Paweł Świeboda, the President ofdemosEUROPA - Centre for European Strategy, will deliver an inaugural lecture Future of European Union - reform treaty andfinanscape raising issues of the Reform Treaty after the referendum in Ireland and the EU's financial perspective.The participants of the panel debate Visionof Europe will continue the topic of the EU's future. Our guests - Ambassadorsof the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, Mr Borys Tarasyuk, the formerMinister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the founder of the Institute for Euro-AtlanticCooperation (IEAC), and Mr Witold Sobków, a Political Director in Ministry ofForeign Affairs of the Republic Poland, will take part in the debate. It willbe moderated by Paul Gillespie, a foreign editor of The Irish Times.

At the end of the inauguration theVisegrad Cello Quartet will perform works ofCentral European composers.
