He holds PhD from the Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza and D.Sc. degree (habilitation) of the Polska Akademia Nauk in the field of geochemistry, mineralogy and sedimentology. In 1990-1991 and 1994-1998 Deputy Mayor of Kraków, responsible for strategic and physical planning, economic development, capital investment projects, debt financing of urban development and culture. In 1998-1999 Director of Villa Decius Association, of which he is still a member of board. 1999-2000 Director and member of the Board of Tishman Speyer Properties Polska, later Senior Advisor for Tishman Speyer Properties. Now a co-owmer and president of board of Aspen.
