Wiesław Gumuła
Professor of Sociology at the Jagiellonian University. Author of many publications, amongst them The Theory of Social Peculiarities. He specializes in sociology of finance including such particular areas as the social meaning of money, cash and cashless settlements, evolution of the world financial system in the 21th century, financial markets and financial crisis. In his research, he applies a sociological perspective in order to study the role of individuals in the world of finance. At the same time, he works for The National Bank of Poland as the Director of the NBP Regional Branch in Krakow.
Ol’ga Gyárfášová
Senior research fellow and a program director in Institute for Public Affairs, Bratislava, Slovakia. Projects on social and political climate, views on integration and relevant social issues. Member of the executive committee of the Slovak Political Science Association, Member of Board of Trustees of the Foundation SPACE (Social Policy Analysis Center) and of the Institute for Public Affairs. Since 1998 - lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts, Comenius University. Since 1999 – lecturer at the Center for European Studies, Comenius University.
Mihaly Györ
Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Poland. Graduated in economics (international economic relations) from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Since 1975 he has worked in the ministries responsible for foreign trade and economic cooperation. From 1988 to 1994 served as a commercial counsellor at the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw. Between 1994-2000 Head of Departments in the Ministry of Industry and Trade (later Ministry of Economy) responsible for the economic cooperation with Central and East European countries. In 2000-2002 he continued his career performing the same duties as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was awarded the “Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland” in 1996.
Iván Gyurcsík
Currently, Ambassador of Hungary to Poland. He also held a position of Head of Department of Bilateral Relations, Central Europe, Regional Cooperation. Previously, worked as diplomat dealing with international politics and press, then as deputy head of mission in the Embassy of Hungary in Prague. He holds PhD from Budapest School of Economics and Public Administration in Budapest. He speaks English, Czech and Slovak.
