Doctoral student at Faculty of Philology at Silesian University in Katowice, master’s degree holder in Polish Philology and Film Studies via MISH. Her major concerns are the 20^th century Polish poetry and modernistic prose. M.A. in film studies obtained by an analysis of Sally Potter’s works. Her interests concern the ontology and pathology of literary and cinematic image – tracing the distortions of artistic conventions.

Professor of Political Science (2005) - with habilitation (2002) at the Warsaw School of Social Science and Humanities and the Warsaw University; Ph. D. in political science (1985). A  graduate of the Summer Institute in the American Political System (Washington D.C., Philadelphia, 1995) and a research fellow of the International Salzburg Seminar (Salzburg, 1996).
