Eliška Sláviková

Eliška Sláviková

joined the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (RC SFPA) in February 2008. She is carrying out research and project activities on Western Balkans, Latin America, Democracy and Development, Human Rights in Foreign Policy. In 2002-2007 she worked in the People in Peril Association, a Slovak NGO providing relief aid and development assistance, defending human rights and freedoms worldwide, where she established and supervised the Democratization and Human Rights Program. She was managing development projects in Kosovo, BiH, Serbia, Ukraine and Cuba. In the period of 2000-2002 the worked in the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy in Prague as the editor of the “Integrace” journal focued on EU issues and the integration process. She received MA degree in the International Teritorrial Studies at the Charles University in Prague.  

Ivo Šlosarčík

Ivo Šlosarčík

Graduated in EU law, comparative constitutional law and the EU Integration from Charles University in Prague and Central European University in Budapest. Since 1999 lecturer in European law and integration at the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence of Charles University and at Anglo-American College in Prague. Founding member of the Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM where he is Director of research and Head of Legal Program. Editor of the European Policy Forum and Czech correspondent of the European Public Law Journal. Member of the advisory board for the European Constitution in the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs. 

Joanna Słowińska

One of the most impressive voices at Polish ethno music stage as well as an artist frequently awarded, eg. Grand Prix by Polish Radio Folk Festival "New Tradition", Audience Award "New Tradition”, Polish TV Song Competition 'Opole’  and many others; vocalist and violinist well known for her folk/ethno music inspired by Polish and Slavonic traditional music. Joanna co-creates an excellent Polish ethno group Muzykanci as well as performs with Krakow's scene's outstanding musicians.
JOANNA SLOWINSKA's project’s based on the Polish and Slavonic traditional songs and tunes. With her solo concerts and projects as well as with the band Muzykanci Joanna has played concerts at prestigious world music festivals, among others: WOMAD Chile 2016, WOMAD Chile 2017, WOMEX 2015 Budapest, EtnoKraków/Crossroads Festival 2015, EtnoPortPoznan, Sounds Like Poland/Crossculture Festival Warsaw, KazkazJazz Festival Tbilisi (Georgia), Ulsan World Music Festival, Intl. Jeonju Festival (South Korea), New York Dream Festival @ Broadway Symphony Space, Chicago Cultural Center (USA). Her first solo album: "Live in Alchemia" and "You Can Be" has been awarded with ”Folk Album of the Year” at Polish Radio's prestigious festival ’New Tradition’ in Warsaw. She’s been nominated and awarded in most important Polish competitions and festivals, inter alia: Grand Prix of Polish Radio ’New Tradition’ Folk Festival, PolishTV Song Festival ’Opole’, Song Festival Wroclaw and others. In 2013 awarded by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage medal: ”Gloria Artis - Cultural Merit”.

Bogusław Sonik

Bogusław Sonik

Since 2005 Member of the Lower house of the Parliament of Poland. From 2004 till 2014 Member of the  European Parliament, chairman of Stowarzyszenie Maj77 and Villa Decius Association. Former director of the Polish Institute in Paris and minister plenipotentiary at the embassy of the Republic of Poland in France (1990–1996) and director of “Kraków 2000 – European City of Culture” Festival (1996–2002). Director of the Department of Promotion at the Krakow Municipal Office (2003–2004). Awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (1993) and the Order of Merit for achievements in the field of Polish Culture (1999). In the European Parliament, he was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Subcommittee on Human Rights, the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and responsible for negotiations on the REACH directive. His most significant success was the report concerning the influence of extraction of shale gas on environment which gave the “green light” to the extraction of shale gas in Europe.

Barbara Sośnicka

After her Master of Arts degree at the Institute of Oriental Languages at the University of Warsaw, Mrs Sośnicka studied International Relations at The Polish Institute of International Affairs in Warsaw, then completed her studies at the Academy of International Law in The Hague, International Institute of Public Administration in Paris and University of Mons. Since 1987 she has worked at the Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Polish Embassies in Managua, Caracas, Brussels and Lima. Now she is Deputy Director of Europe at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. 

Marek Sowa

Graduated from Krakow AGH University of Science and Technology. Active in local government since 1994 working as soltis and councilman. As voivodeship management officer was responsible for creation and implementation of the Governmental Strategic Programme for the Oswiecim (Auschwitz) Area and Strategy of Malopolska Viovodeship for years 2007-2013.  Marshall of the Malopolska Region since 2010. President of Monitoring Commission for European Funds in Union of the Voivodeships of the Republic of Poland and  member of Malopolska Innovation Council.  Initiated founding of Malopolska Center of Entrepreneurship and Center Business in Malopolska (CEBiM). Involved in organisation of  Economic Forum in Krynica.

Magdalena Sroka

Deputy Mayor of Krakow in charge of Culture and City Promotion. Master of Arts in Theatre Studies, manager of culture, producer of festivals, shows and TV programs. Director of the Krakow Festival Office (2008-2010). Co-initiator of legislative reforms regulating the cultural sector.

During the 1990s for few years has been in Charge of polish branches of the biggest international creation's agencies: McCann-Erickson and DBB. Co-founder and first Deputy Chairman of Radio Zet (one of the biggest radio in Poland). Juryman of advertising festivals, author of articles in "Media Polska", "Impact", "Brief", "Home&Market".
