Head of the Faculty of Biotechnology at the Jagiellonian University. Holds a PhD degree and Habilitation from the Jagiellonian University. His areas of interest include in particular heme oxygenase-1, angiogenesis and gene therapy. Recipient of numerous grants for his research, an author of numerous publications.

Jakub Dürr

Jakub Dürr (born 1976) is a Czech political scientist, Polish philologist and diplomat, in 2018-2020 he was the permanent representative of the Czech Republic to the EU, previously in 2008-2009 he was deputy minister of education, youth and physical education, and in 2016-2018 deputy minister of affairs foreign countries of the Czech Republic. He was also the vice-rector for foreign and external relations at the Palacky University in Olomouc. In December 2021, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Poland.

Eva Dvořáková

In 1997 finished studies in History of International Relations at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University in Prague; from 1998 to 2001 worked at the International Relations and European Integration Department of the Czech Ministry of the Interior; since October 2001 has been working for the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central European Department (October 2001-September 2002 – desk officer for Hungary and Visegrad Cooperation, since October 2002 head of the Unit for V4 Countries, Baltic States and Slovenia). 

Laurence Dyevre

Born in Paris. Studied Russian and Polish Philology at the Eastern Languages Institute in Paris and then Polish Philology at the Sorbonne. She taught Polish language in France. For many years, she has been translating Polish prose into French. Member of the French Association of Literary Translators (Stanisław Lem, Czesław Miłosz, Sławomir Mrożek, Jerzy Pilch, Mariusz Wilk, Adam Zagajewski). Currently the vice-director of the French Institute in Krakow.

Writer, documentary filmmaker and film editor. Studied at the Polish Film School in Łódź. Author of three novels: A Mark Left by Mom, The Clam and a hypertext Matrioszka. Director of photography of the documentary Underground Women’s State and co-director of Downtown, a documentary that has won the Hollywood Eagle Documentary Award in 2011.Her documentary Solidarity according to Women" won The Krzysztof Kieslowski Beyond Borders Award in 2015. A holder of the grant of the Book Institute and of the Homines Urbani grant of the Villa Decius Association (2007), Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2007), Young Poland (2012) and Visegrad Literary Residency Program (2012).

Grzegorz Dziemidowicz

Ambassador, Egyptologist, journalist and diplomat. Former ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Egypt and Sudan (1993-1999) and in Greece (2001-2005). Director of Diplomatic Academy (2006-2007). Graduate of  Oriental Institute of Warsaw University, postgraduate at Institute of Journalism (1970). Member of Polish Archaeological Missions in Egypt and Sudan (1966-1968). Journalist in Polish Radio and TV 1969-1991 - reporter, commentator, anchorman and deputy editor-in-chef. Spokesman of Foreign Ministry of Poland, Director of the Department of Information Systems, Deputy Director of the Cabinet of Minister. Teaches courses on Diplomacy in Polish and English at Collegium Civitas and University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Petra Dzurovčinová

Petra Dzurovčinováwas born and bred as an entrepreneur, whose passion lies in finding smart solutions to existing problems. Ms. Dzurovčinováhas lead and grown the Slovak Alliance for the Internet Economy (SAPIE) since its inception in 2014. SAPIE acts as an industry body for innovative companies throughout Slovakia, creates regional and EU-wide partnerships, promotes entrepreneurship and connects the private and public sphere. As part of her role she works with government representatives as well as the office representing the President of Slovakia. She further works with the innovation ecosystem in Slovakia and prepares papers and recommendations for policies that help improve the digital economy in Slovakia.

Martin Ehl

Martin Ehl

PhD at Charles University, Prague in Political Science, recipient of numerous fellowships and professional courses in the U.S., Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Italy and Slovenia. In 1999 he was a research fellow at Institute of International Relations, Prague, between 2001-2006 lecturer at University of West Bohemia Pilsen teaching global issues. Since 2001, a reporter for the Czech economic daily Hospodářské noviny, and since 2006 the head of the foreign desk. Previously, he worked in various Czech written media outlets, incl. TV and radio. He has published articles in the Serbian, Slovak and Polish press. His main areas of expertise include: Central Europe, Balkans, security policy, transatlantic relations, globalization, Latin America and Spain. From 2009 onwards, lecturerin Central and Eastern European Political Systems at the Metropolitan University in Prague. Author of a book A Third Decade: about the Life, Politics and People between Brussels and Gazprom.
